About Me

I have a deep passion for helping people. My wife jokes that when someone at a party mentions a problem they're having she knows it's going to be hard to drag me away!
That inquisitiveness about the human body has led me a merry dance. I've been a Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher, Thai Massage Therapist, Physiotherapist, Craniosacral Therapist, and probably a few other things I've forgotten.
To me it's all the same. Just ways and means of interacting with the body and helping people to experience more freedom, joy and excitement in their world.
I currently see people at several locations in Canberra and I'm also available for Telehealth in Australia and worldwide for certain conditions.

So do it!
A Values-Driven Approach to Healing
My practice is guided by a core philosophy: you are a person, not a diagnosis. While my methods are constantly evolving, these values are the steady foundation of the care I provide.
1. Communication as Treatment
Communication isn't just a preamble to treatment; it is treatment. Whether through words, gestures, or touch, the dialogue between us determines the speed of your recovery.
-
Active Listening: I am committed to hearing your story in your own words.
-
Nonviolent Communication: My approach is rooted in Marshall Rosenberg’s NVC model—treating clinical interaction as a space of empathy and mutual understanding.
-
Body Dialogue: Beyond words, I focus on "listening" to the messages of your body and responding to what we find together.
2. Radical Collaboration
I cannot "fix" you. Lasting change only happens when we work as equal partners. I bring expertise in anatomy, bodywork, and the principles of rehabilitation. You bring the embodied knowledge of your history, your sensations, and your limits. I treat you as a colleague in your own recovery; we are a team working towards a single goal.
3. Integrity Over Volume
My goal is to get you to a state of well-being as quickly and efficiently as possible. I don't believe in booking unnecessary sessions to hit some kind of target or perceived protocol requirement.
-
Targeted Care: I aim for the minimum number of sessions required to guide you to your goals.
-
Transparent Timelines: Usually, by the second session, we will have a clear timeframe for your recovery.
-
Patient-Led Pace: While I prioritize efficiency, I am always here for closer support if you feel you need more frequent care for your physical or psychological well-being.
4. Relentless Persistence
Pain is often complicated. If a recovery stalls or a diagnosis feels incomplete, I don't give up. I will continue testing, re-testing, and learning new techniques to get to the root of the issue.
-
Total Honesty: If your needs fall outside my skillset, I will tell you immediately.
-
Thoughtful Referrals: I refer out for imaging or blood tests more than most, simply because I refuse to let you do months of arduous rehab if the underlying cause is something else entirely. No stone goes unturned.
5. The "Experiment of One"
I am guided by research, but I am not ruled by it. Research tells us what works "on average"—but you are an individual, not a data point. If "best-practice" protocols don't get the results you need, we iterate. We experiment. We find the specific approach that suits your situation, right here and now.
6. Constant Evolution
I am a lifelong student, constantly consuming new courses and methodologies. I take my training and education very seriously—always seeking the next tool that might enrich, speed up, or simplify your path to healing.
Let’s start the conversation. If these values resonate with you, I invite you to contact me to discuss your needs. I offer a limited number of complimentary consultations to ensure we are the right fit for your recovery.
